If you want toĭouble-click on EXEs to open them, you have to create an application The problem is that no application you have really knows how to open EXEįiles. exe in terminal but it is less than convenient. To use Windows software on a Mac, you need to install virtual machine software like VMWare or Parallels Desktop. It opens in TextEdit instead of launching in wine. .exe are Windows files and wont run on a Mac. Then click Go, and your file should begin to load. ![]() A pop-up window appears that prompts you to choose how to run the file. Then right-click the file to bring up a drop-down menu. I can not figure out for the life of me how to launch an executable by clicking on it. Once the file installs, you can navigate to the EXE file in Finder.
